ABOUT US
It was 1949 when twin brothers, Ron and Don Napolitan began working for Harry Marcus, founder of Marcus Tile, a tile installation company out of Springfield, MA. They were fifteen years old.
Over the years, Mr. Marcus transitioned from tile installation to tile distribution. In 1956, he opened Standard Tile Distributors which in the years that followed, expanded to Connecticut, New York and other East Coast states. Marcus Tile was sold to his brother-in-law, Abe Lipson.
Under Abe's ownership, Ron Napolitan continued to master the art of tile installation - from ceramic, to stone and glass. In time, Ron bought into the company, eventually purchasing it from the Marcus family. His youngest son, Ron Napolitan II joined him at the age of 20, working side by side with his father until he passed in 2012.
Today, Marcus Tile is one of the premier tile installation companies in Western Massachusetts.
